About Me
My training and my inherent tendency lead me to approach each person I encounter with openness and curiosity, without judgment. This allows clients to work with me on issues which may be difficult to bring up with others, or even at times with themselves; which can bring relief, insight and acceptance.

Feedback from my clients has been that they value my understanding, acceptance, patience, and caring and that they feel comfortable speaking about anything with me.

I bring to my work a wide range of experience with individuals of all ages, families and groups, from diverse backgrounds; in settings, including: community mental health centers, day-shelters, hospitals, crisis lines and schools. Most recently I have focused on adults and older adults coping with difficult life transitions and the often consequent unresolved or re-awakened issues this may bring up from the past.
Before training as a therapist, I worked in the medical field. This provides me a depth of understanding of health issues and medical treatments which I can draw on in my counseling practice, when appropriate. My therapeutic work is informed as well by extensive personal lived experience.
